How to whiten teeth: 4 orthodox ways

Whitening teeth is no longer something that is reserved for celebrities in the constant eye of the public. Anyone can now have their teeth whitened, thanks to the various tooth whitening methods available right at home. You will no longer worry for the expense of visiting a dental office for the bright smile that you've been longing for. That is what tooth whitening is all about; lighting the teeth by removing stains and tooth discolorations. 4 orthodox at home ways of doing this are discussed in this article.

1.Make Use of Whitening Toothpastes

These toothpastes work by lifting the stains and discolorations off your teeth as you brush your teeth regularly. This is a very cheap method that will give you only slight results in your teeth's appearance. The stains and discolorations will definitely be lifted off, but the teeth will not be as white as you want them to be.

2.Try Using White Strips

The white strips are strips containing hydrogen peroxide which lifts the stains and discolorations off from your teeth. Place the strips on your top and bottom teeth surfaces and leave for a few hours. The hydrogen peroxide will then do its job and after using the strips every day for about one to two weeks, results will start to show. You will find that your teeth will be five shades brighter than they used to be.

3.Invest in Brush-On Gels

Brush-on gels are painted on the tooth surface by using a special brush that looks like those found in nail polish. You will thus need to make sure that you "polish" each tooth for the desired results. The gel is then left to sit for about two hours, and then brushed off using the regular tooth brush and toothpaste. This method is both fun and time consuming.

4.Try Using Mouth Trays

Mouth Trays are kits that come with molds which you can manipulate effectively to fit your teeth structure for the bleaching process. You can get these kits either over the counter or from your dentist. If the dentist gives you the kit, he'll probably also make the mold for your teeth with fitting trays that can hold the gel. If you buy over the counter, you will have to make the mold yourself. Follow the instructions properly to ensure that the mold is properly hardened for the gel to sit well on the trays so that the bleaching can take place as intended. Depending on the mold you buy, you may remove it after a few hours or in the morning in case you used it overnight. You will then brush your teeth as usual, with your toothbrush and toothpaste.

There are a number of products available both online and offline that you can effectively use to whiten your teeth. They are effective when used every day for longer periods of time. Hydrogen peroxide is the main component of these products, and it is very safe for you to use.
